PHD Australia extends ‘Phamily Leap’ initiative into 2023

PHD Australia has extended its ‘Phamily Leap’ initiative into 2023, allowing more staff to connect with their family, both locally and globally.

俺nouncement:

In response to many employees being separated from their loved ones for an extended period, owing to the pandemic’s lockdowns and border closures, PHD created the Phamily Leap.

The program offers employees a hybrid of annual leave, combined with the option to work from where they call “home.”

As part of the initiative, employees can take up to two weeks of annual leave for domestic and international travel and then work for an additional two weeks from the same location.

Last year saw tens of staff reconnect with family across the globe, while working from PHD’s offices in London, Madrid and Auckland.

PHD Sydney’s head of strategy, Remi Baker, who took part in the Phamily Leap in 2022 said:

“Imagine three years of not being able to see your family: No hugs, no dinners, no birthday parties, no trip to the hospital when your sister’s just given birth. A hell of a lot can happen in three years.

“After so long apart, a two-week holiday just isn’t going to cut it. Being able to go home and spend six weeks making up for lost time was absolutely priceless and by far the highlight of my year last year. I can honestly say the Phamily Leap is the best agency program I’ve ever experienced, and I know every expat in the company would agree!”

It’s because of reasons like this, PHD Australia CEO Mark Jarrett said it was important that the agency extended the opportunity for employees to reconnect with their families in 2023.

“I was so pleased that over 50 of the PHD team took advantage of the Phamily Leap in 2022, having an extended period with family or friends was so important, especially after the previous two years. Continuing to offer that flexibility is something we’re keen to support, and I hope just as many of the team use this benefit in 2023.”
