Domino’s prepares for State of Origin by reuniting footy rivals in Half ‘n’ Half campaign
Ahead of State of Origin returning for 2020, Domino’s is reuniting footy legends Paul Gallen and Nate Myles in a new campaign for its Half ‘n’ Half pizza offering.
The duo, who had an infamous altercation at State of Origin seven years ago, were reunited by Elevencom for the campaign, with Domino’s CMO of ANZ, Allan Collins saying the match proved the power of pizza.
“We believe nothing brings people together like Domino’s and getting these two famous rivals together is the latest proof of that,” said Collins.
运动冠军的消费者现在可以split any large pizza for free, bringing rivals together at last, just in time for dinner. Jono McCauley, creative strategy director of Elevencom, said the campaign was also used to launch Dominio’s new tagline – Bring It In.
“The Bring It In campaign is all about demonstrating that pizza is the most sharable food on the planet and no-one delivers that experience better than Domino’s – especially at Origin time,” McCauley said.
The campaign of two commercials will run nationally across TV and digital channels. The State of Origin matchup follows several other unlikely duos, including Prince Harry and the Queen.
