Pureprofile hires Anna Meiler as head of sales and marketing
Data and consumer insights business Pureprofile has appointed Anna Meiler as head of sales and marketing.
Meiler joins from Mintel, and has spent the past decade in market research, including almost six years with Toluna.
At Pureprofile, she will be responsible for driving the company’s sales and marketing agenda to reach marketers, researchers and publishers. She will also focus on driving growth for Pureprofile’s programmatic media business.
Chief operating officer Melinda Sheppard said Meiler was a great choice for the role.
“Anna has an excellent track record in the industry and a deep understanding of the data and insights world, coupled with the proven ability to develop new businesses and market opportunities,” she said.
Meiler said she was thrilled to be joining a company with such a strong innovation pedigree.
“The business continues to grow from strength to strength and I’m excited to contribute to the next phase of growth,” she said.
“I look forward to strengthening our position as a leader in offering unrivalled, data-driven, rich consumer insights so our clients can drive higher engagement with their customers to boost their bottom line.”
Pureprofile today also released a quarterly update noting cost savings from management changes in the first quarter of the 2020 financial year will add over $200,000 to EBITDA (earnings before interest, tax, depreciation and amortisation) in future quarters.
In August,the CEO of the financially troubled organisation, Nic Jones, departed.
His departure came as the company posted a $10.7m net loss after tax to the ASX, and announced amendments to its debt facilities.
In September,Pureprofile released an auditor’s warning that the company’s future is uncertain as a going concern.
Today, it released its figures for the quarter ending 30 September, 2019.

Gross profit for the September quarter was $4.1m, up 4%, while costs climbed 12% to $3.345m.
According to the update, EBITDA for the quarter was up 355% to $755,000.
