Mumbrella360 full program revealed, including Olympian James Magnussen, CNN’s Andrew Demaria and a live pitch
The full program for Mumbrella360 2019 has been announced with new speakers including swimming world champion James Magnussen, Thinkerbell’s co-founder Adam Ferrier, The Walt Disney Company’s ANZ boss Kylie Watson-Wheeler, CNN Digital International managing editor Andrew Demaria and more.
Magnussen will join a panel discussing the good, bad and ugly of sports stars working with brands. The panel will be led by Pick Star head of marketing, Andrew Montesi, and will also feature AFLW and W-League star Ellie Brush with Kellog’s senior marketer Daniel Bitti.
Ferrier, meanwhile, will moderate a live pitch for Sukin with the brand’s marketing director Tina Randello. The pitch will feature First, Lexar, Whooshka, Brandcrush and Change Room. Delegates will be asked for their opinion and $20,000 will be awarded to the winner to implement their idea.
Also confirmed is London-based Andrew Demaria, VP and managing editor of CNN Digital International. He’ll discuss the build up to the 2020 US election, and the struggle that is navigating trust and consumer sentiment while reporting on critical issues in an always-on environment.
In addition, Professor Mark Ritson has announced increased participation at Mumbrella360. Initially set to introduce Heart Foundation CMO Chris Taylor’s session, Ritson will now deliver exclusive research on the effectiveness of advertising, as well as MBA lessons in brand management.
This year’s program features 60 sessions,15 masterclasses and 131 speakers including 15 international speakers coming from as far away as London, New York, Paris, Seattle and New Delhi.
Some of Australia’s best-known media and marketing professionals will also participate in Mumbrella360. Radio personalities Amanda Keller and Kate Ritchie return, while Atlassian’s Amy Glancey, 86 400’s Anthony Thomson, Qantas pilot Richard de Crespigny, Nine’s Hugh Marks, Pedestrian’s Chris Wirasinha, Havas Media Australia’s Imogen Hewitt, Think TV’s Kim Portrate, PwC’s Russel Howcroft, adland pioneer Warren Brown and many more will also speak.
Mumbrella360 will begin with a half-day speed networking session on June 4. Meetings can be booked from Friday May 3.
The two conference days follow on June 5 and 6, with all of it taking place at the Hilton Hotel in Sydney.
