MasterChef 2021 finale fails to deliver on 2020 numbers, but wins all demos
MasterChef Australia finished its 2021 season with an average of 931,000 metro viewers watching the winner announcement, and 824,000 tuning in for the episode leading up to it.
It was the biggest audience of any episode of MasterChef this year, but was down significantly on the1.523 million metro viewers who watched the 2020 winner announcementand 1.261 million who watched the final episode last year.
The winner announcement also topped all three key advertising demos, and was easily the top-rating non-news program on Tuesday night.
After the finale,which took place over two nights, youth pastor Justin Narayan was awarded the title of MasterChef Australia 2021, taking home $250,000 in the process.

In other entertainment programming, Seven’s Farmer Wants A Wife aired to 632,000 metro viewers, with primetime opponent Beauty and the Geek bringing in 577,000 metro viewers for Nine.
Seven News was the #1 program overall on Tuesday, with a metro audience of 1.154 million, ahead of Nine News on 1.078 million.
ABC’s Ms Represented, featuring interviews by Annabel Crabb with Australia’s female leaders, had 583,000 metro viewers.
Seven claimed the overall network share win on Tuesday, with a 26.3% share, ahead of Nine’s 25.9% and Ten’s 23.5%. Seven was also the #1 primary channel on 18.4%, but in second place was Ten on 17.4% ahead of Nine’s 16.7%.
9Gem was the top-rating multi-channel for the evening, as 326,000 metro viewers tuned in to watch the Wallabies lose to France in the Rugby.
