Cricket World Cup names CHE Proximity as media agency
The ICC T20 World Cup 2020, an international cricket tournament next held in Melbourne next year, has appointed CHE Proximity as its media agency, following a competitive pitch.
CHE Proximity will handle the media planning and buying services for the global cricket event.
“We are delighted to be working with CHE Proximity, they presented a really impressive and innovative media strategy befitting a major global event,” said the ICC T20 World Cup Australia 2020 local organising committee CEO Nick Hockley.
There will be separate, standalone World Cups for women and men, which will culminate in finals at the world’s largest cricket stadium, the Melbourne Cricket Ground, which has a capacity of 100,000. CHE Proximity pointed out that this presents an opportunity to set a new world record for the highest attendance at a women’s sporting fixture, especially since the event will be held on Sunday 8 March 2020, International Women’s Day. The current record attendance for a women’s sports event, set at the 1999 World Cup final between the USA and China, is 90,185.
“The standalone tournament structure of the ICC T20 World Cup 2020 will have a profound influence on the progress of not only T20 and cricket, but gender equality in Australia and across the world,” said CHE Proximity CEO Chris Howatson,所有Clemenge最近被任命为主管是谁r Group’s Australian agencies.
“The local organising committee represents the very best in their fields, and their ambition for this tournament to be a spectacular celebration to set the benchmark for all other global events is inspiring. It’s with exceptional pride that we are involved and can contribute to its success.”
